This is the 12th year for our Christmas Ornament Program. 100% of all proceeds from this sale will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Carolina.
The first segment of our sales season began at the Klingspor Extravaganza in Hickory NC on October 25 & 26. This was followed by a sale at the Holly Jolly Craft Show located at the Cricket's Nest in Winston Salem on November 1 & 2, 2024.
Sales will continue from November 11 until December 28, 2024, at the Klingspor Woodworkers Store in Winston Salem. Ornaments will be available for sale during regular store hours:
Monday to Saturday 9:00 to 6:00
Sunday 1:00 to 5:00
Payment may be made either in cash or by check. Checks should be made out to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Credit card sales are NOT accepted as the payments are NOT processed through the store accounting system.
This program is possible because Carolina Scroller club dedicated members starting earlier in the program year, donate their talent, time and all materials.
This program could not occur without the Klingspor Woodworking Store organization as they provide meeting and display space along with a dedicated staff to assist.
TThe Winston Salem JJournal (WSJ) published an article on December 3, 2020 highlighting the Carolina Scrollers with focus on their annual Christmas Ornament Program. This article resulted in a significant boost in sales
2024 Member Vase Contest
During the 2022 & 2023 Klingspor Extravaganzas Members participated in a contest to scroll a Steve Good designed Vase. The 2024 contest will follow the same basic rules.
The ground rule was to start with the same pattern design and using creativity, modify the design with basically no limitations.
The "judges" will be visitors to the booth on Friday October 25, 2024. No voting criteria was specified except "which Vase do you like?".
